Solar-Electricity-Handbook-By-Michael-Boxwell-Book

Solar Electricity Handbook

The Solar Electricity Handbook is a simple, practical guide to using electric solar panels and designing and installing photovoltaic PV systems.

The Solar Electricity Handbook assumes no previous knowledge of solar electric systems, it explains how panels work, how they can be used and explains the steps you need to take to successfully design and install a electric photovoltaic system from scratch.

Here is a nice Christmas present for that special person who loves looking after the planet.

I have ordered one for myself!

FreeLoader–Globetrotter-Pack–Review–Cheapest-UK-Price

FreeLoader – Globetrotter Pack – Review – Cheapest UK Price!

‘To purchase a Free Loader Globetrotter Pack at an exclusive price we have teamed up with the UK’s leading distributor of alternative energy products ‘Tango Group Limited’ If you would like to purchase one then please use Discount Voucher Code AMSC8093

This is an offer not to be missed! 10% Off plus free P&P in the UK!

Pros
If you are an outdoors type or are planning a holiday in a remote location or backpacking across the globe then this really is something you will be glad you purchased. The FreeLoader Globetrotter is a portable solar energy recharging station; it is a battery pack for storing solar energy and a recharging pack for charging up practically any portable electronic device!
On a sunny day you can recharge the FreeLoader battery pack via the 2 small solar PV wings and also attach the Supercharger solar cell to boost the charging. Once the Free Loader battery pack is fully charged you can take it with you and when you need to recharge something you have the means to do so.

Never be without charging power again, regardless of where you are on earth, providing the sun shines, you have what it takes to keep energised!

Due to the technology behind the Free Loader – Globetrotter Packs batteries (Li-Ion) they hold lots of power and are incredibly light unlike the older battery technologies (NI-CAD – NiMH) which store similar amounts of power but weigh much more.

Cons
When road testing the FreeLoader Globetrotter Pack from Tango Group we found it really hard to pick fault with its performance, design, ruggedness nor its overall feel. The only thing we considered a tiny problem was that the Free Loader power pack case was finished in a stainless steel effect and it may, over time, get scratched! This is merely an aesthetic design issue and cannot be counted as something that goes against the product.

Design
The design of the FreeLoader Globetrotter Pack is great. The power pack is compact and has detachable solar PV wings. This enables compact storage and prevents against accidental damage when not in use.

The FreeLoader Globetrotter Super Charger (The Large Additional Solar PV Panel) is practically indestructible. The Solar Cells are mounted on a clear PVC sheet (Not Glass) so it will withstand knocks and drops! It comes in its own weatherproof carry pouch with can be attached to all manner of items via the Velcro straps. It will mount to a Bike, Back Pack, Tent Roof, even On Top Of Your Head!

Features
The FreeLoader Globetrotter Pack has the following features.

1. Will charge virtually any electronic portable device
2. Master cable to connect the unit to any of the 11 charging adaptors
3. 11 Adaptor charging clips
4. FreeLoader Portable Solar Charger
5. Supercharger solar PV panel
6. Supercharger case
7. FreeLoader tough case
8. Li-Ion 1000MAH internal rechargeable battery
9. 6V DC output charging voltage
10. 250MA output charge current

Durability
The FreeLoader Globetrotter Pack is designed with durability in mind. The last thing you want is your only source of power breaking in the middle of nowhere! Everything in its design has been thoroughly though about to make the FreeLoader Globetrotter Pack long lasting and able to withstand the most hostile of climates.

Babington-Burner-Nozzles-For-Sale

Babington Burner Atomizing Nozzles For Sale - Worldwide Postage.

Babington burner atomizing nozzles are used to atomize almost all combustible fuel sources. Fuels such as vegetable oil, WVO waste vegetable oil, WMO waste motor oil, waste gearbox oil, waste transmission oil, peanut oil, canola oil and paraffin oil can all be burned very cleanly.

The Babington Nozzle works on the same principle when a whale surfaces to breathe. It is not the whale spraying out water from it's blow hole but air blown out under high pressure and the water running over the whales skin creates surface tension (Thin film of sea water) when the air passes through the film of water the water is atomized.

Dick Proenneke retired at age 50 in 1967 and decided to build his own cabin on the shore of Twin Lakes. The first summer he scouted for the best cabin site, and cut and peeled the logs he would need for his cabin. Dick Proenneke returned the next summer to finish the cabin where he lived for over 30 years. Dick filmed his adventures, and Bob Swerer later turned the film into a video so we can all watch this amazing man build his cabin by hand.

Babington-Oil-Atomizing-Balls-Have-Arrived-In-The-UK

Our batch of hand made Babington Oil Atomizing Balls have arrived at HomeBrewPower!

Close-Up of a Babington Ball

Our order of custom made Babington Burner Balls have now arrived at HomeBrewPower UK.

These Nozzles enable the clean burning of Waste Vegetable Oil, Straight Vegetable Oil, Waste Motor Oil and any other combustible oil you can think of!

The principle is really simple, ' The Babington Ball is connected to an air source (Car tyre inflator or any other small air source capable of producing around 30-40 PSI via a 1/2" NPT standard fitting) A tiny stream of air is jetted out of a 0.010" presicion hole in the middle of the Babington Ball. Oil is pumped over the outer surface if the Ball producing a thin film around the ball head.

Where the jet of air is expelled the oil is Atomized into mist which can be readily burned. The atomizing effect is known as the Venturi effect similar to the principle of a whale expelling air when it surfaces.'

The renewable energy community lost a true pioneer on 9 January 2005, and those who knew Al Rutan lost a true friend. Al passed on while staying at the home of a friend and doing what he loved. Designing and fabricating a methane digester plant. Al’s dedication to our movement of renewable energy and energy self sufficiency was technically astute, and tempered with a true concern for the animals involved in the production process. Al knew instinctively and believed deeply that we must always consider the well-being of all the creatures of Mother Earth in our quest for energy independence. His concern for the animals who walk the Earth with us is only part of Al’s legacy.
A former schoolteacher, Al never lost his love and desire for sharing his knowledge and experience with others who wanted to learn about methane and energy self sufficiency. Through his website and his writings, most recently in this publication, Al Rutan shared the message of energy self sufficiency with all who sought his knowledge.

Protos-Plant-Oil-Stove-Wanted-UK

We are looking to purchase a Protos Plant Oil Stove - Any Offers?

As many of you will know there is a Stove in production that runs on plant oils (Vegetable Oil)
We at Home Brew Power are actively looking to source one for testing and evaluation.

We would be happy to accept a donation unit from anywhere around the world as we would like to be the first to evaluate it for a number of end uses.

We believe that this technology can be suitably adapted for use in a modified Wood Stove with a back boiler to help heat a DCH (Domestic Central Heating) system. Our main goal will be to run one for extended periods on WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) that has been filtered to 2 Microns.

Are there any readers out there who would like to work with us here at Home Brew Power to assist us in obtaining the elusive Protos Plant Oil Stove?
